The Strength to Fall Down

It's quite funny how often we think we're outsmarting life. We hold back so much with the assumption that if we trust ourselves too much we MIGHT fail yet again. Why? What is it embedded in our nature that tells us to trust others more than we trust ourselves, to base our judgements on what we see in the physical and to doubt what we feel and know in the spiritual? Whatever it is, it is a serious impairment. If we could only look beyond the POSSIBILITY of failure, we'd see the triumph of hope and the audacity to believe in who WE are. I go back to the places I've been, to see the people I've seen, and it tugs at my heart strings to witness such chaos, such a waste of talent and life. I see young men and women running so fast from the possibility of failure that they are completely oblivious to the signs that say "DEAD END AHEAD." Be smart, turn around before you've spent all of your energy running in the wrong direction. So what if you fall a few times, what matters is that you dust yourself off and keep fighting, keep plunging full speed ahead. The only true failure that exists to me is the effort to NOT succeed. God has given each and every one of us a REASON to shine, and the TOOLS to do so. Don't waste them, because the ONLY person to blame for your failure is you; There's no limit on success except the one you put on it.
